The dowel is 3/8th
It weighs 1.20 ounch for great control and spin.
These are hand-sanded for a nice smooth finish and left natural so you can use it as it is
or finish it with your own favorite stain.
NOTE: When you chose your spindle please keep in mind that the "Bottom" Whorl spindle spins slower than the top spindle,
thus giving the beginner more control of the fibers while learning, and the advanced spinner more control over extremely short fibers and specialty fibers.
